QA Strategy
FocusFrame’s Siebel strategy offering emphasizes the review and evaluation of existing validation operations, provides details on best practices, and outlines a gap analysis of current and future state. Working within the Envision and Define phases of the Siebel Customer Blueprint development methodology, our consultants work with your design team, business owners, and project stakeholders to develop a best-practices plan that will cater to your unique development goals and challenges.

Functional Verification
Beginning with a clear and detailed test plan encompassing all aspects of functional verification, FocusFrame works closely with the business analysts and development team to document each business process using our APT™ methodology. Business processes are then mapped back to their respective business and systems requirements. Requirement coverage can then be tracked using tools that can report on requirements’ success rate, coverage, and defects.

As the business processes are being documented, FocusFrame can begin customizing our BPT Accelerator for Siebel® systems. Partnering with HP, FocusFrame has developed the BPT Accelerator for Siebel, which is the definitive solution for Siebel functional verification, providing a ready-made and custom-made package of individual and end-to-end test scripts specifically designed to be extensible to each client’s unique Siebel environment. Utilizing our ASC™ tools, FocusFrame can auto-generate business process testing components and greatly accelerate automated test development, including custom Siebel Screens and Views. Please click on the following link for more information on the BPT Accelerator for Siebel.

Once the BPT Accelerator for Siebel has been installed and configured to your environment, the team can begin creating robust, end-to-end verification scripts to test your system’s functionality and identify defects. Defect management is just as important a task as any other development effort which is why we come prepared with best practices for the identification, reporting, and resolution of defects. FocusFrame will work with the test team, developers, change management, and the stakeholders to report and resolve all identified defects and risks.

Finally, once your initial release has been migrated into production, the team will work to identify and implement a core regression suite of tests to be executed following any change to the system, including new Siebel Repository Files (SRFs). Performance Validation & Optimization
Beginning in the Build and Deliver phase, the Performance Validation and Optimization practice combines our APT methodology, along with HP's BPT suite of tools to provide industry leading services to our Siebel clients. Our experience with Siebel applications has allowed us to build a Siebel specific approach to performance optimization, which can accelerate and enhance the performance effort from the Build and Deliver phase through the Confirm phase.

Our HP-certified consultants excel with LoadRunner, SiteScope, Deep Diagnostics, and they are equipped with a custom developed set of tools to compliment the HP software. In addition to their technical expertise, their knowledge provides context and understanding of the CRM business processes that exist within Siebel.

Knowledge around Siebel has been developed to address the architecture, scripting, monitoring, and optimization of the application. The knowledge encompasses items such as key performance indicators to be monitored, potential bottlenecks in the architecture, pre-defined functions for LoadRunner scripting, and project checklists to provide instant visibility into the progress. These materials will allow our consultants to work seamlessly with the client teams and application subject matter experts, and reduce the overall performance risk of your Siebel implementation.

Post Production Monitoring & Maintenance
The majority of your Siebel application’s lifecycle will be spent in the monitoring and maintenance phase. FocusFrame uses business technology optimization to provide comprehensive availability and service-level agreement monitoring for regional and global Siebel applications.

Using HP's best of breed Business Availability Center (BAC), a cohesive platform is provided that allows for the monitoring of service level compliance, end-user experience monitoring, system availability monitoring, planned/unplanned change management, as well as Siebel application problem diagnosis.

Siebel system performance can be quickly accessed from a consolidated dashboard to gain visibility into various layers of application performance and key performance indicators. BAC provides enterprise-level monitoring and real-world visibility into your Siebel application’s performance, allowing problem areas to be quickly identified and attributed to the appropriate application layer. This level of visibility is usually not found in a single tool, and is often achieved using a variety of commercial applications, rather than from a consolidated monitoring and management platform, which BAC is able to provide Siebel applications.

IT Governance
The Application Change Management Lifecycle for Siebel is a complex and often manual set of processes in today's corporate environments. Archaic spreadsheets are often maintained to track changes and their dependencies upon other changes. Software releases, and bug fixes are often staggered and intermingled with business process changes. The results of such ad hoc tracking can be devastating to your business.

The Change Management extensions for ITG enable you to bring order to the chaos. FocusFrame is positioned to enable true automated Change Management for your Siebel environments. With robust workflow and request tools, HP ITG has the capabilities to save countless dollars in downtime and audit penalties.
